WHEN DID FAN FAIR BEGIN?
Fan Fair started in 1972 after fans started showing up at the annual DJ convention. Country Music leaders offered Fan Fair as an alternative and 5,000 people attended the first event, which was held at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. The event moved to the Tennessee State Fairgrounds in 1982.

WHAT TYPE OF I.D. IS REQUIRED FOR ENTRANCE INTO FAN FAIR?
Your Fan Fair wristband is required for admittance into all exhibit buildings and grandstand areas. You must wear it in order to gain access to the Fan Fair grounds.

WHAT IF I LOSE MY WRISTBAND?
Lost wristbands may be replaced in the registration area at the cost of $90.

ARE MEALS PROVIDED AT FAN FAIR?

Meals are not provided, but concessions are available at all Fan Fair events. Each four-day registration    will include the Fan Fair Coupon Book, filled with more than $500 in discounts and special offers at restaurants, retail establishments and attractions throughout the Nashville area.

WILL THERE BE ANY TYPE OF TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED TO THE FAIRGROUNDS?
You may want to park at Opryland, purchase a Fan Fair Shuttle ticket and be assured of unlimited rides. Shuttle tickets may be purchased at the Opry Tour Tent in the registration area.

WHERE CAN I PARK DOWNTOWN?

A limited number of parking spaces are available at Adelphia Coliseum. These 6,500 parking spaces are being sold as an added option with your ticket purchase. There are also more than 20,000 public parking spaces in the greater Downtown area.
ARE VIDEO CAMERAS ALLOWED AT THE FAN FAIR SHOWS?
Because of union agreements and regulations, VIDEO CAMERAS ARE NOT PERMITTED AT THE STAGE SHOWS IN THE FAIRGROUNDS GRANDSTAND AREA OR DURING GRAND OLE OPRY PERFORMANCES. You are welcome to use your video camera at any other Fan Fair activity including inside the exhibit halls.

WHO SHOULD I NOTIFY IF I HAVE QUESTIONS OR PROBLEMS?
Please notify Fan Fair personnel if there are any problems or questions concerning the fairgrounds, restrooms, parking, etc. If you are in need of security or first aid help, contact a Fan Fair staff person, Fan Fair security or metro policeman. THE EMERGENCY TELEPHONE NUMBER IS 244-1108.

ARE PEOPLE ALLOWED TO SAVE SEATS IN THE GRANDSTAND AREA?
In the spirit of cooperation, Fan Fair attendees are requested not to hold grandstand seats except for those guests taking necessary restroom breaks.
If you want to keep your seat in front of the stage area, you should stay in that seat and not attend autograph signing in the exhibit area. Also, you should not agree to hold seats for people wanting to visit the exhibit area. As a Fan Fair participant you agree to these conditions.
